Ishaan Khatter, an actor and Shahid Kapoor's brother, has been making news lately for his flawless performance in the recently released Netflix series The Royals, costarring Bhumi Pednekar. He now talked about how, following divorces, his mother Neelima Azeem reared him and his brother Shahid Kapoor alone. The actor also discussed "women with agency" after witnessing his mother's excellent parenting.

Ishaan Khatter talked candidly about how his mother, Neelima Azeem, raised them so effectively and with such ease. Ishaan Khatter discussed the same topic at a media chat and shared, “All I’ve known is a woman with agency. I’ve seen her balance life. She single-handedly not just brought the bread home but also raised two boys.”

For those who don't know, Neelima Azeem has three divorces under her belt. She first wed Pankaj Kapur, with whom she had a son, Shahid Kapoor. But in 1984, they were divorced. After marrying Rajesh Khatter, she had Ishaan Khatter with him before they split up in 2001. After that, Neelima married Ustad Raza Ali Khan, but the two divorced in 2009.

The actor from Homebound continued by discussing his most recent program, The Royals, and expressed happiness that it lacks "pseudo-feministic notions." He went on to say that it is much more than viewing a man and a woman as equals and human beings.

Ishaan also said that "women with agendas" never frighten him. He did admit, though, that most men are unable to maintain a relationship with a strong woman.
