Chunky Panday Shares Insights into Ananya's Liger Journey!

In the 2022 film Liger, Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda shared screen time. The movie did not do well at the box office, even though there was a lot of hype about it. Almost three years later, Chunky Panday revealed candidly that his daughter was first apprehensive about starring in the movie. Perhaps she was too young for the role, she thought.

Ananya Panday's father, legendary actor Chunky Panday, disclosed in a media interview that the actress was "uncomfortable" working on the movie. He revealed that the actress was nervous about making the movie since she believed she was "too young" to do it when she contacted him. But he was the one who demanded she make the movie.

 

"She said, ‘Papa, I am too young to do this.’ I said you do this; it’s a commercial, a big film, but maybe she was right. She was too young to do it," revealed the actor from Housefull 5. He pointed out that when Ananya first entered the industry, she was just eighteen years old and had a naive baby face.

 

“She was uncomfortable,” the legendary actor said of Liger. "Perhaps I am too young for this," she added. She was perplexed at the time, he said, and he hasn't offered her career guidance since. Panday claims that he is traditional and that a large-scale picture that includes action, songs, and conversation would be considered a wonderful film in his opinion. He acknowledged that he would have declined her request to perform Call Me Bae on Amazon Prime Video.

 

Vijay Deverakonda made his Hindi language debut with the Puri Jagannadh-directed film Liger, which was released in 2022. Puri Connects and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions supported it.

In a funny media chat, Ananya accused her father of encouraging her to work on the movie.
