During the event, she also talked about her upbringing in a large family with six sisters.
Speaking about her marriage to Vicky Kaushal at the Red Sea Film Festival, Katrina Kaif said that the COVID-19 lockdown forced them to postpone their wedding planning. The actress said that she was nervous about getting her entire family together due to the pandemic regulations, but in the end, everyone showed up and had a great time celebrating.
She revealed, “We were trying to plan our wedding just as the world was opening up. Like many, many people, we had to wait for the lockdowns to be lifted so that we could have a wedding with all our families there and all that I was keeping my fingers crossed for was that my entire family had to be there from all the corners of the world which we managed. So that was wonderful.”
During the event, she also talked about her upbringing in a large family with six sisters. She said that there was a lot of arguing over mirror space, combs, and hairbrushes, and that it was rather noisy with six girls. But they could all braid each other's hair quite well. She further revealed, “My sisters became my support system. We are an insular unit that we don’t need anyone else. People are welcome but when we all are together, it feels complete.”
