In 2015, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput were married through an arranged union. As they consistently express their love and affection for one another, the couple never fails to set relationship goals. Shahid recently disclosed that his wife enjoyed his film, Jab We Met. Mira thought he wasn't even "5 percent" like his character Aditya, he revealed. Recalling his own reaction, Shahid told her to be glad he wasn't like Kabir Singh either.

Shahid Kapoor was recently asked in a media discussion what kind of movies his wife Mira Rajput enjoyed. The star revealed that Jab We Met was her favorite show to watch. He disclosed that Mira had reprimanded him by saying, "I thought you were like Aditya; tu toh 5 percent bhi nahi nikla." (You did not turn out even 5 percent)

Shahid further revealed that his response to Mira was, "Be happy Kabir Singh bhi main 5% nahi nikla." (Be happy I didn’t turn out 5 percent of Kabir Singh either. The Deva star called it a ‘fair deal.’

In the 2007 romance comedy Jab We Met, Shahid co-stars with Kareena Kapoor Khan. He portrayed the bereaved businessman Aditya Kashyap in the Imtiaz Ali-directed film. The crowd loves his lover-boy attitude, and it is one of his best-selling films to date.

Shahid, however, played an aggressive and possessive role in Kabir Singh. In the 2019 premiere of the romantic drama, he co-starred with Kiara Advani. The movie did well at the box office.
