Similar to an exhilarating roller coaster ride, Vivek Oberoi's Bollywood career has been filled with highs and lows. He recently talked candidly about the vulnerabilities of the film industry, recalling a difficult time following the release of his successful film Shootout at Lokhandwala, during which he was unemployed for 14 to 15 months. He also talked about how the ongoing strain and stress affected him, turning it into a tiresome battle rather than a fulfilling endeavor.

Vivek Oberoi recently spoke candidly about the difficulties he encountered in the Hindi film industry, characterizing it as an unsafe setting in a media talk. He said, "I have done about 67 projects in 22 years, but the industry is a very insecure place. You could be performing well, winning awards, and doing your job as an actor, but at the same time, you can get no work for other reasons."

He was unemployed for about 15 months in spite of his breakthrough with the viral hit song Ganpat and Shootout at Lokhandwala in 2007. Considering the same, the actor remarked, "After 2007, when I did Shootout At Lokhandwala, the Ganpat song went viral, I won awards, so I expected a lot of offers, but I didn’t get any. I sat at home for 14 to 15 months after the success of the film."

Additionally, he revealed that this prompted him to make a crucial choice in 2009: instead of depending entirely on the sector, he chose to concentrate on achieving financial independence. He underlined the need of not allowing outside factors to control his professional choices or determine his destiny.

Vivek Oberoi described how entering the corporate world allowed him to have the freedom he had always desired. He clarified that although he would always be passionate about movies, he considered business to be his backup source of income. By doing this, he was able to overcome the fears of the industry and escape the pressure to compromise his morals or rely on lobbyists.

He couldn't accept the thought of "selling his soul" or caving in to others in order to get a job, thus he felt that keeping his independence was essential. Vivek, who is working on three films, looks back on his 22-year career in Bollywood. He emphasizes the significance of life's karmic balance by sharing that the strain and stress he had experienced were never worth it.

"I was stressed about so many things, took so much tension; it was just not worth it," he stated. He asserts that although negativity has repercussions, practicing good has benefits. Additionally, he points out that although achievement may seem external, inner tranquility is not a given. Making the correct decisions can lead to positive transformation in life. He thinks that when our paths are shaped by our own activities, we frequently blame fate.

At a point in his life where wealth, notoriety, and achievement don't feel transformative, Vivek Oberoi is concentrating on growing his businesses. He has committed to three film projects, including Masti 4, in which he has a lot of fun alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and Induji. Milap Zaveri is the director, and the movie is anticipated to be released in 2025. Vivek is enthusiastic about the other two projects, which have not yet been revealed.
