Actor Durgesh Kumar opens up on his struggle with depression!

The third season of the well-liked TVF series Panchayat is widely available online, and for good cause. Unusually for the industry, the show is gaining popularity among viewers for its unvarnished, genuine, and family-friendly storyline, even though it doesn't feature any A-listers or famous faces.

Durgesh Kumar is one of the many underappreciated actors that is receiving a lot of praise from this series. In the series, the seasoned theatrical performer portrayed Bhushan, also referred to as "banrakas."

 

Durgesh recently opened out on having many ups and downs in the business while creating a large name for himself while speaking with Lallantop. He was heard uttering, “You need to be prepared psychologically, physically, mentally, emotionally, and economically to be an actor. I have suffered depression twice in 11 years.”

 

He advocated against entering the performing profession unless one is in good psychological, financial, and mental health.

Durgesh went on to say, "This is no place to try," noting that the industry was full of insane people. He continued, “All the successful people you see today, including Manoj Bajpayee and Pankaj Tripathi, who were my seniors at the National School of Drama or even Nawazuddin Siddiqui, they are all half-crazy people, nobody discloses this.”
