With Gadar 2,
Sunny Deol shattered numerous records as a mass entertainer. Fans anticipate that the senior Bollywood actor would deliver another outstanding performance in his next action-thriller, Jaat. Gopichandh Malineni disclosed that he has several OTT projects in the works while we wait for his Hindi first movie to the theaters on April 10, 2025.
Sunny Deol talked candidly with a media about his next ventures, which will only be available on streaming services. The 67-year-old performer revealed, “I’m doing a couple of projects for OTT, and they are not meant for the silver screen because the audience of that is niche. So, it’s best to go there (OTT). People keep watching your films on different platforms.”
"OTT is an interesting medium for actors and directors because it offers all kinds of variety and one is not restricted to anything," he added in an interview with the news agency. Deol acknowledged that everything hinges on whether a writer and director can provide him with something special, even though he is excited to take on new parts in his next projects.
He went on to discuss how OTT platforms made him relevant to the next generation. The actor from Ghatak shared his thoughts on the subject, saying that his movies became relevant for today's youth on digital platforms since people who didn't see them on the big screen could now watch them on streaming services.
Regarding his next film, Jaat, the actor said working with South filmmaker Gopichand Malineni is "refreshing." Since it's a brand-new movie rather than a remake, he also loved working on it. “For the first time, I’m working with a South director, and it has been a great experience,” Sunny expressed.
In addition, Sunny Deol has a promising filmography. His next appearance will be in Lahore 1947, a period action movie directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film, which has Aamir Khan's support, also stars Preity Zinta. In addition, Sunny will co-star with Varun Dhawan in Border 2, the follow-up to his 1997 movie Border.
