The well-known casting director Mukesh Chhabra made his directing debut with Dil Bechara back in 2020. Both reviewers and moviegoers enjoyed Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi's romantic picture. Hence, Sushant's admirers became a little teary-eyed when Chhabra tweeted about the movie's sequel.
In Dil Bechara, which is based on John Green's novel The Fault in Our Stars, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi portray two terminally ill cancer patients who became close friends while enduring the same tragedy. Years after the movie's premiere, filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra wrote "Dil Bechara 2" in a post on X, a platform that was originally Twitter.
Upon viewing the post, fans became a little tearful because it was the final picture in which the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput appeared. A user commented, “looking forward,” while another wrote, “#SushantSinghRajput k bina??? Rulaoge kya” with multiple teary-eyed emojis. Another fan was thrilled to see the news. Amaal Mallik, a singer and composer of music, also showered it with love.
Along with Sahil Vaid, Saswata Chatterjee, Swastika Mukherjee, Sunit Tandon, Michael Muthu, Rajie Vijay Sarathy, and Subbalakshmi in significant parts, the film also had a cameo appearance from Saif Ali Khan. Written by Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengupta, the love film was produced by Fox Star Studios and directed by Mukesh Chhabra.
