On February 6, 2025, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's blockbuster Padmaavat will be re-released in theaters to commemorate its seventh anniversary. The re-release date, which was originally scheduled for January 24, 2025, has been rescheduled. This offers viewers another opportunity to take in the magnificence of the movie on a large screen.

Padmaavat, which stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, is regarded as one of the most aesthetically spectacular and financially successful movies in Indian cinema. Set in medieval India in 1303 AD, Padmaavat is a magnificent tale of bravery, passion, and obsession.

The updated date was announced on Bhansali Productions' Instagram page. The post said, "The epic saga re-releases on a new date—6th February, 2025! Relive the iconic tale on the big screen."

The protagonist of the tale is Maharawal Ratan Singh's proud wife, Queen Padmavati, who is the crown jewel of the affluent Kingdom of Chittor in northwest India. Padmavati, who is renowned for her exceptional beauty and her unyielding sense of justice, is the focus of gossip. After learning of her alluring beauty, Sultan Alauddin Khilji of Hindustan develops an obsession with her.

The tyrant Sultan and his army attack the wealthy kingdom of medieval India in an attempt to seize the Queen Padmavati. Her devoted husband, Maharawal Ratan Singh, musters his valiant men to protect their territory and uphold his wife's honor.

After its 2018 premiere, Padmaavat became a worldwide sensation, winning praise for its stunning scenery and memorable performances. The performances of Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh, Ranveer Singh as Sultan Khilji, and Deepika Padukone as Queen Padmavati left audiences especially impressed.
