Veteran actress Uttara Baokar, who delighted audiences with a substantial body of work, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 79. She passed away in a hospital in the city of Pune. According to sources close to her family, she died after a protracted illness. According to reports, she has reportedly been ill for the past 12 months.
According to media reports, Uttara's funeral ceremonies were conducted on Wednesday morning. The veteran actress studied acting at the National School of Drama. She received training from Ebrahim Alkazi. She appeared in a number of plays, including Tughlaq, Mena Gurjari, Othello, and Mukyhamantri. The late actress gained notoriety after appearing with Om Puri in Govind Nihlani's film Tamas. Additionally, she appeared in a number of TV programs, including Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Udaan, Rishtey Kora Kagaz, and others. She was also a drama artist for AIR.
