Currently, Kajol is enjoying the success of her most recent film, The Trial. The actress is taking on the character of Noyonika Sengupta, a housewife who must take care of her family after being deceived by her husband. For her performance, Kajol garnered a great deal of praise, and viewers viewed the show in record numbers. Supan S Varma, the series' director, Deepak Dhar, the show's producer, and Kajol have now commented on the show's success.
Kajol acknowledged her delight at the positive feedback regarding her acting performance and how much she identifies with the Noyonika character. She revealed, “Noyonika’s character is very close to my heart. She is a strong and practical woman who is always ready to tackle every situation in her life. Hearing the kind of response, The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha has received is absolutely humbling. Being able to represent the strength of a woman and being appreciated for that portrayal is empowering for me as a woman and as an actor.”
