Twinkle Khanna criticizes netizens cracking jokes after Govinda's gun accident!

Although they had only two on-screen appearances together, Bollywood actresses Twinkle Khanna and Govinda's chemistry captured the hearts of viewers. Khanna recently addressed the jokes that were made about the actor following his unintentional self-shot leg injury. Referring to it as the 'Superiority Theory,' she explained, "There is the Superiority Theory, where laughter is found at the expense of another’s misfortunes."

 

Twinkle Khanna explored the realm of humor and the influence that comedians have in a daily media post. She considered the jokes that had been made about Govinda's recent injury and noted how humor frequently makes fun of other people's bad luck. It was her explanation of the 'Superiority Theory' that amuses people to make jokes about those who are less fortunate.

 

She penned, “Modern theorists tend to split jokes into three main categories. There is the Superiority Theory, where laughter is found at the expense of another’s misfortunes. This is perhaps why people enjoyed memes with ‘Akhiyon se goli maare’ when one of my favourite comedians, Govinda, accidentally shot himself in the leg.”

 

Govinda's unintentional gunshot wound worried his supporters a great deal. The actor's licensed handgun unintentionally misfired around 4:45 in the morning while he was putting it back in the cabinet. Govinda spoke to his well-wishers in an audio statement released by Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde after suffering a self-inflicted injury.

 

In his message, he told, “Namaste, pranam. I am Govinda. Due to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru... I was shot, but the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr. Garwal. Thank you all for your prayers and support.” His wife Sunita Ahuja was allegedly in Kolkata at the time of the incident, but their daughter Tina Ahuja stuck by him through it all.
