A disastrous fire that broke out at night at the singer's residence, the Skypan Apartments in Shastri Nagar, Andheri West, has caused anxiety among his followers. The artist has now acknowledged that he is safe and thanked his fans for their well wishes.

Udit Narayan discussed the horrific event from that evening in a media chat. He clarified that in the evening of January 6, 2025, everyone was evacuated from his apartment complex after the fire broke out in a separate wing.

Recalling the mayhem, Narayan stated, “Hum log ghabra gaye ki aab ki kya hoga. Life bandh tha toh bohot mushkil se hum utre." (We were worried about what might happen. The lifts were closed, so we got down with great difficulty.)

It was difficult for them to get his 108-year-old mother out of the building in the smoke and darkness, according to Udit, who lives on the eleventh level. However, as fire departments entered, three to four workers completed the task in thirty minutes.

The singer of Udja Kale Kawan acknowledged that the fire was allegedly started by a short circuit, which killed Rahul Mishra, 75, who was the singer's neighbor and lived on the eleventh floor of the building's other wing. After being taken to Kokilaben Hospital, Mishra, a friend of Udit Narayan, was pronounced dead from severe smoke inhalation. Meanwhile, another person was hurt as a result of the risky situation.

But the Gun Gun Guna singer, who received prayers and well wishes from his fans, thanked them for their support. Narayan revealed, "Aapki blessings thi ki aapka singer bhi bach gaya." (Your singer is safe due to your blessings.)

Residents were extremely alarmed by the fire, and emergency personnel raced to the scene. Although firefighters were able to handle the situation, the occupants were shocked by the destruction of some apartments. Investigations are still being conducted.
