Shraddha Kapoor is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films. She began her acting career with the 2010 film Teen Patti—which earned her a nomination in the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut category—and followed it with her first leading role in the teen drama Luv Ka The End (2011). In 2013, Kapoor received appreciation for her performance in the romantic drama Aashiqui 2, her first commercial success, which earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination, among others.
Shraddha Kapoor was born on March 3' 1992 to the famous Hindi film actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kapoor. Her parents have been associated with Bollywood from a long time. She did a part of her schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School, Juhu and completed her high school from Boston. She took up theatre studies during her college in Boston and continued with her graduation from India only. Later, learnt directional and acting skills under the guidance of Mohit Tugnait.

His father Shakti Kapoor who was popular for his negative roles in Bollywood and her maternal aunt Tejaswini Kolhapure and Padmini Kolhapure - sister of Shivangi Kapoor, are also famous bollywood actresses. She got inspired from her aunt Tejaswini to enter Bollywood, rather than her father. Shraddha's elder brother Siddhanth Kapoor is a former Disc Jockey (DJ) and an assistant director. Her brother made his Bollywood debut with "Shootout at Wadal" in 2013 and also was the assistant director for the same film. She was never shy about her father's villainous image but proud of her upbringing done by her parents. Her father proved to be her 'shakti' in her struggling days of career.
