Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has set the rumour mill buzzing with recent social media activity that strongly suggests his next directorial venture will indeed star none other than superstar Salman Khan. Lakhia's recent Instagram posts, featuring him on a flight and at Leh airport, have fueled speculation that he is on a location scout for a film reportedly based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict, with Salman Khan in the lead.

While an official announcement from the makers is still awaited, reports have been circulating for a while that Salman Khan has finalized a project with Lakhia, marking their first collaboration. The film is believed to be a patriotic action-drama, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed book "India's Most Fearless 3," which chronicles events surrounding the Galwan Valley clash.

Apoorva Lakhia's Instagram stories showed him posing with his team on a flight, followed by pictures at Leh airport upon their arrival. These visuals align perfectly with earlier reports that the film would be shot in Ladakh, along with extensive sets in Mumbai. Sources close to the production have indicated that the team is indeed scouting locations, with a 70-day shooting schedule planned to commence in July 2025.

This project is particularly significant as it would see Salman Khan portray a full-fledged army officer for the first time in his career. Reports suggest he will essay the heroic role of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, who tragically lost his life during the Galwan Valley skirmish. The screenplay has been adapted by Suresh Nair, in collaboration with Chintan Gandhi and Chintan Shah, who also penned the dialogues. Salman Khan has reportedly been impressed by the script and has already begun physical training for the demanding role at his Panvel farmhouse.

The collaboration between Apoorva Lakhia, known for gritty action thrillers like "Shootout at Lokhandwala," and Salman Khan in a role of such national importance, has generated considerable excitement among fans. As preparations for the shoot are reportedly in full swing, including casting for three younger actors to join Khan, all eyes are now on an official confirmation and further details about this highly anticipated film.
