By appearing in well-known OTT productions like Dabba Cartel and Maharaj, among others, popular actress Shalini Pandey has been establishing a place for herself. She most recently revealed a startling story from the early days of her profession in which a South filmmaker got into her truck as she was getting dressed.

Shalini Pandey stressed the need of setting boundaries in a recent media discussion, sharing her experiences working with both wonderful and awful guys on and off screen as well as among the crew. As she discussed running into "chauvinistic men" in the field, she considered "reality."

The actress from Dabba Cartel claimed that she was an absolute stranger and had no one to turn to in these circumstances. Looking back, she claimed she was happy to be that way since she was naïve and had "hard boundaries," further acknowledging that she would lose her temper.

She used a startling story to illustrate her point, remembering, "Very early in my career, I was doing a South film. The director walks into my van. He didn't knock, and I was changing. He just opened the door and entered."

At the time, Shalini said, she had only done one movie, and people would typically tell you to be "sweet and not rub people off the wrong way." She revealed that she was informed that if she didn't, no one would offer her movies. But she simply screamed at the director in response to his startling actions.

She remembered her initial response, saying, "As soon as he entered, I wasn't even thinking. It was just a reaction, and I yelled. I absolutely lost my sh*t. I was 22. Once he left, people told me that 'I shouldn't have yelled.' But there has to be manners."

In expressing her belief, the Maharaj actress made it clear that she carried it with her. She acknowledged that she would have come out as irate, but she also said that she had to take certain precautions for her own safety.

She claimed that she now knows how to deal with these kinds of situations in life. "Later on, I realized how to manipulate such things rather than just snap at people," she remarked.
