The question of when
Akshay Kumar's son, Aarav Bhatia, will make his highly anticipated
Bollywood debut has been a constant source of speculation for years. However, the
Jolly LLB 3 actor has finally put the rumours to rest, revealing that the 23-year-old has chosen a definitive path that lies far outside the world of cinema.
In a recent candid interview, the 'Khiladi' of Bollywood confirmed that Aarav, unlike many other celebrity children, is not interested in following his parents' acting legacy.
Aarav Bhatia’s Big Career Move: Fashion, Not Films
Akshay Kumar, who was recently seen in the successful courtroom drama
Jolly LLB 3, shared that his son’s passion is firmly rooted in the creative world of design.
"He doesn't want to join films," Akshay Kumar confirmed. "He told me straight, 'Dad, mere ko nahi aana (Dad, I don't want to come).' I even suggested he take over my production company, but he isn't interested."
The superstar revealed that Aarav Bhatia is currently studying fashion design in London, which is where his true passion lies. This revelation confirms that Bollywood will have to wait for the next generation of the Kumar-Khanna clan to grace the silver screen.
The Influence of Twinkle Khanna
Akshay Kumar was quick to praise his son's independent nature, a trait he attributes largely to his wife, Twinkle Khanna. Aarav, who left home at the age of 15 to pursue his studies abroad, is reportedly extremely grounded, cooks his own meals, does his own laundry, and even prefers thrift stores to designer labels.
The Jolly LLB 3 star stated that while he would love for his son to enter films, he fully supports Aarav Kumar’s decision to pursue a career where his happiness truly lies.
"He's more like Twinkle, because she too has always been very studious," the actor noted, emphasizing that both parents encourage their children to forge their own distinct identities away from the pressure of celebrity life.
No Star Kid Debut for Aarav
This news comes at a time when several prominent star kids are making their foray into the industry, either through acting or behind-the-scenes roles. Aarav Bhatia's choice to carve his own niche in fashion is a refreshing shift from the common narrative and speaks volumes about his desire to build an identity independent of his father’s immense fame.
For now, the actor known for films like Jolly LLB 3, Welcome To The Jungle, and Hera Pheri 3 is focused on his own projects, happy to be a "proud sidekick" in his son’s non-filmy success story.
