In its first weekend, the David Leitch-directed film The Fall Guy, which starred Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt among others, made almost Rs 3 crores at the Indian box office. The movie started out slowly but picked up steam on Saturday and Sunday. Although The Fall Guy's total population is still small, their trajectory is encouraging. The film has made about USD 65 million worldwide, of which USD 28 million has come from North America.

 

A week before its local release, The Fall Guy was released internationally. It made about USD 8 million before opening in North America and the other nations, therefore from May 2 to May 5, 2024, it made about USD 57–58 million in revenue. These are not awful collections, but what is disappointing is the enormous budget—roughly USD 130 million—that was not used for print or advertising.

 

For The Fall Guy to be a successful theatrical production, its earnings must reach between USD 275 and USD 300 million. If the film ever makes it to $200 million, the trend indicates that it may not be able to contribute much more. Every week, there will be big film releases that will eliminate its premium screens. The Ryan Gosling-Emily Blunt movie, like the majority of post-pandemic movies, will depend on non-theatrical sales to break even and turn a profit.

 

The Fall Guy pays homage to the stuntmen who risk their lives and labor tirelessly on action movies. Colt, a stuntman, is the character that Ryan Gosling plays. Emily Blunt, formerly a camera operator, is Jody, a director. Their peculiar love tale is told to us in the story.
