Pamela Chopra, the wife of Yash Chopra who was most recently featured in the movie The Romantics, died at the age of 74. She was a vocalist and actively participated in the music of her husband's films. She passed away in a hospital in Mumbai. Yash and Pamela had two kids, Uday and Aditya Chopra, after getting married in 1970. She reportedly died from an ailment brought on by old age.
Pamela spent the previous 15 days inpatient at the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai, per media sources. The medics put her on a ventilator, but her condition continued to worsen. The official Twitter handle of YRF tweeted, "With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her cremation took place at 11 am today in Murnbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family would like to request for privacy in this moment of deep sadness and reflection."
She was recently seen discussing her husband's career as a director during her participation in The Romantics. She also provided insight into how Yash Chopra produced films despite having a difficult box office run. Pamela, Aditya, and Uday discussed how they came to create their own production company, which is now among the biggest in the nation.
For her husband's films, including Kabhie Kabhie, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, and others, Pamela sung various songs. She even worked on independent film production. She collaborated on the Dil To Pagal Hai script alongside Tanuja Chandra and her husband, Aditya Chopra. Pamela also had an appearance in the movie Dil To Pagal Hai's opening song, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste.
