After becoming a grandfather in March 2025, Suniel Shetty has been relishing this new stage of his life. Athiya Shetty, his daughter, and her husband, KL Rahul, just announced that their child is named Evaarah. Since then, Suniel has talked candidly about becoming the little girl's grandfather. He disclosed that he wanted to spend with her all he was unable to do with his children because of his job.

Suniel Shetty described becoming a grandfather as the "best feeling in the world" during a recent media chat. He disclosed that he and his spouse, Mana Shetty, have long desired it. He used the proverb "Mul se sut pyaara" to convey his joy, which means "interest is dearer than capital."

Suniel also discussed scheduling his activities with his grandchild in mind throughout the event. He claimed that he eagerly anticipated returning home from work to spend time with his wife and granddaughter, Evaarah. The actor referred to the newborn as his life's "biggest excitement."

Suniel went on to share, “And now I want to do everything with my granddaughter that I probably missed out on with Athiya and my son Ahan because I was constantly working.” He stated that he tried to manage his time as much as he could, but now he needed to do it even more. “Evaarah is Athiya 2.0 for me,” he ended chat.

On March 24, 2025, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul welcomed their daughter into the world. In April, they gave each other their first look at the baby. The newborn was hugged close by the new parents in a lovely family portrait.

The caption read, “Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah ~ Gift of God.”

On her Instagram Stories, Athiya also revealed her daughter's complete name and its meaning. She revealed, “Evaarah, V.R. (Evaarah Vipula Rahul). Evaarah, meaning Gift of God. Vipula, in honor of her great nani and protector. Rahul, her papa.”
