Ananya Panday has continuously developed as an actress since making her acting debut in 2019 with Student of the Year 2. She has succeeded in carving out a niche for herself in the industry with recent films such as Gehraiyaan, CTRL, Kesari Chapter 2, and others. The actress talked candidly in 2024 about "tasting blood" when it comes to taking on difficult parts and being receptive to more unusual ones.

Ananya Panday talked candidly about her desire to be an actor in a media chat. "Maybe unconsciously and now consciously, it's always been a choice, but I don't want to be reduced to just glamour or just my face as something like that; I want to do more and I am hungry for more," The actress stated that she doesn't want to settle for anything less after working on movies like Pati Patni Aur Woh, CTRL, and even Amazon Prime Video series like Call Me Bae. She stated, "Because now I've tasted blood," to the point.

Ananya revealed that she has fallen in love with the process and now knows what it's like to give yourself up to it. The actress added that since she is depicting and narrating the stories of her female audience, it would be disappointing for them as well if she limits herself.

Ananya, meanwhile, has received praise for her role in Kesari Chapter 2. Ananya played Dilreet Gill in the movie, which starred Akshay Kumar as the lead role. In the Karan Singh Tyagi-directed movie, R. Madhavan was also a key player. On April 18, 2025, Kesari 2 was released in theatres. In just three weeks, it made over Rs 81.50 crore.

Her next projects are Chand Mera Dil and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
