Along with her spouse, interior designer Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, a producer at Red Chillies Entertainment, has recently entered the restaurant industry. Gauri talked candidly about her everyday activities in a recent interview, highlighting her desire for a "simple life." Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam are her top priorities, and she makes time for them—especially when AbRam gets home for lunch from school. Gauri also revealed details about her everyday schedule and how Shah Rukh Khan influenced her being a night person.
In a media chat, Gauri discussed her daily routine, revealing, "Well, I’m not an early riser. Because the house is awake at night. So, I wake up by 10." She then continued, "I have my morning coffee, gym, lunch, work. Kids are my priority and Abram is home at lunch maybe by 3. So, spend some time with him, go to work and back home again for dinner. Simple life." Shah Rukh, she mentioned, is self-admittedly a night person.
When asked if there was a certain time each night to get home, Gauri said she like to wrap up visits by 7:30 but added, "Each day is different. I have some appointments which have to be taken care of later in the day."
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have been wed for more than 32 years. Though Gauri was first apprehensive to move to Mumbai, her love for the city grew as Shah Rukh Khan became a household name, and they settled in Mannat. In the preface to "My Life In Design," Shah Rukh disclosed that Gauri became a designer for Mannat due to financial difficulties she faced after purchasing the large home with a view of the sea. He shared, "The task of designing her own house... fuelled her determination to learn new things and understand how spaces, amenities, logistics, and beauty converge to create a home."
