Laila (born 24 October 1980) is an Indian actress. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi language films. She is known for her critically acclaimed and award-winning performances in the Bala-directed films Nandha (2001) & Pithamagan (2003), and the commercial Tamil blockbusters Parthen Rasithen (2000), Dheena (2001), Dhill (2001), Alli Thandha Vaanam (2001), Unnai Ninaithu (2002), Ullam Ketkume (2005) and Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005).
She married Mehdi, an Irani businessman, on 6 January 2006. She dated him for eight years before marriage. According to Laila, they were engaged for four years before marriage. The couple has two sons, aged 9 and 12. She is Goan but speaks Tamil, English, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and French at home and she is a Roman Catholic.
