Before
Nora Fatehi found success in the entertainment sector, she had to overcome years of obstacles. In a recent interview with a news outlet, she disclosed that in her early days, she had come across several suspicious people who were constantly trying to exploit weak spots. The Dilbar girl talked about how her mental health was affected by people asking her if she wanted to be the next
Katrina Kaif. 'When you get a lot of rejection, which I got a lot, a lot of 'you are not good enough', she disclosed.
According to
Nora Fatehi, the early years of her childhood had a negative impact on her mental health, which led her to pursue therapy. She said she was often asked if she wanted to be the "next
Katrina Kaif," which seemed like an impossible goal.
She clarified that the constant rejections made her feel unworthy, saying it was discouraging to get so many "you are not good enough" comments and to be asked whether she wanted to become the next Katrina Kaif.
"It felt awful to be in that position," she said. She admitted that this moment was especially tough for her, even though she had developed a thick skin over time.
Following several of these encounters, Nora concluded that she could never come across as "desperate" for opportunities because it is what some people take advantage of.
According to the Crakk actor, this lesson taught her to avoid projecting a sense of desperation since, if she did, others would take advantage of that. Consequently, she ceased to communicate her intense urge to act.
She started uttering phrases like, "I would love to, but if it doesn’t work out, I can always return home, finish university, and become a lawyer."
Fatehi added that because she was new to the profession, she would frequently go with people who said they could put her in touch with big production companies. According to Nora, this frequently led to "scary situations," but she eventually figured out how to deal with these "weirdos."
