Zoya Akhtar's Ghost Story: A Source of Inspiration for Aamir Khan!

Aamir Khan portrayed Inspector Suri in the psychological crime thriller Talaash: The Answer Lies Within back in 2012. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukerji played the main characters in the film, which was directed by Reema Kagti and co-written by Zoya Akhtar. The actors' performances and the writing were both highly praised in the movie. However, it was eventually revealed that Zoya's terrifying ghost encounter served as the inspiration for the film.

 

Aamir Khan shared the backstory of his movie Talaash: The Answer Lies Within in an earlier interview. The Dangal actress began by stating that Zoya Akhtar, who doesn't believe in ghosts or other supernatural beings, was horrified by an occurrence that occurred in her life. Mr. Perfectionist explained the situation by saying that she and a few companions were traveling at midnight close to Haji Ali in Mumbai.

 

They believed that a woman had crossed in front of their car while they were driving, causing an accident. Zoya claimed that the woman was naked when they first saw her, according to Khan. There was nobody there when they pulled over and went outside to find the woman. They struggled to process what had occurred to them on that road for a long time.

 

But months later, a well-known actress had the same thing. She also complained about it to the police. When Zoya's mother, Honey Irani, learned about it, she disclosed that her daughter experienced the same thing. The PK actor responded to this experience by saying that although he doesn't believe in ghosts, he finds it strange to hear stories like these. He even claimed that a number of strange incidents occurred during the filming process.

 

She wrote this story since Zoya was involved in this incident. This gave rise to the story of this movie. Vahan se ye kahaani ka Janam hua. Thus, the story of this was inspired by a real-life event," Khan said. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkummar Rao, and Shernaz Patel played supporting parts in the film in addition to Aamir, Bebo, and Rani.
